Hedgehog Housing

We are a small private company with 45 years experience of manufacturing housing for small animals and this is reflected in the quality of our new hedgehog-housing and all other products which we supply today

Our Hedgehog-Housing

Our robust hedgehog-housing cages are manufactured from solid polypropylene which has high chemical resistance and can withstand boiling water. They are joined together in horizontal rows to eliminate vertical joints between cages and each row sits on top of the one below. The smooth cage floor has a lip  at the front to cover horizontal joints. These features all make for low maintenance easy cleaning.

CAGE VENTILATION is provided by a small gap around each door and ventilation holes in the top rear of each cage.

Cages have a toughened glass door to the 'lounge' area, dark for the sleeping area with a removable divider between. Smooth running door closures allow for:

doors closed- one open one closed- both open

Hedgehog-housing cages can be stacked together to form a variety of module layouts up to a maximum of 4 high.

The standard sized cage has internal dimensions  of 60 x 60 x 40.5 cm high

External 60.5 x 60.5 x 42.5 cm high.

Cage Assembly

Our Hedgehog Rescue Cages are also suitable for other small animals.

Locate the Plinth adjacent to the wall with the ventilation slots at the rear.

Check Plinth for level in both directions using the adjustable feet if necessary. A slight slope to the rear is possibly best.

Place 1st cage onto Plinth and push towards the RH end stop plate. Assembly the remaining cages on the bottom row, lifting RH side of last cage before dropping into position to lock the cages together. If the fit is tight slack the screws in one stop plate.

Locate the intermediate support wood (vent slots at rear)and repeat assembly
